I've been tied up with a work assignment and away from my usual locationfor a week and a half now.
It's been very frustrating not being able to get on with other things I want to be getting on with. It is also a pain not knowing what the upcoming work requirements are. It could be that the next major shift will be in a few days... or a few months.
Makes it very hard to plan ahead.
On the plus side, I've been able to talk to my wife a few times this week. That's been a big moral booster.
The 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing is tomorrow. Very poigniant to be over here at this time. Was hoping to be part of commemorations but been assigned elsewhere for work.
Broke a tooth earlier today. Managed to get in to the dentist who put a temporary repair in but it'll need a proper fix at some stage.
Feeling pretty bummed out at the moment, not sure why...
Been kept busy at work, no reliable net access, so no site updates. Or story writing...
Saaaaad... going to spend today travelling and going back to work.
Which means going away from home. Away from family and the ones I love.
For I don't know how many months, again. :'(
Bit of unsolicited advice for those who are looking to get vanity or custom number plates for their vehicle:
Don't get the plastic polycarbonate plates - get normal metal plates. The polycarbonate ones shatter. :-(
I prefer the old school metal ones, those just bend in a minor bingle and can be ignored or bent back flat. Little shards of plastic are harder to put back together.
